One of the best parts of keeping a blog is seeing the search terms that bring people here. Some are predictable—like “healthy eating in college”—while others are delightfully random. I used to read the funniest ones to my roommate and we’d laugh, so here are a few that stood out.
Unsurprisingly, many of the searches involve food and running. Chipotle also comes up a lot. Most of these visitors probably didn’t find exactly what they were looking for before—so, for posterity, here’s a helpful (and honest) response to some of the odd queries.
“the monster cookie with squash”
I’ve written about my dislike of squash and I’ve also shared how much I love monster cookies—so if you want a monster cookie recipe that includes squash, I don’t have one. That said, monster cookies are packed with oats, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and M&Ms, and they’re delightful without vegetables.
“heat literally kills me when running”
Yikes—running in the heat can be brutal. I wrote a whole post with tips for surviving hot runs: hydrate, adjust pace, pick cooler times of day, and pay attention to signs of overheating.
“Can I eat durian if my iron level is low?”
You probably could eat durian, but whether it’s a good idea depends on taste preference—durian is famously divisive. If your concern is iron intake, focus on iron-rich foods and talk with a healthcare professional about the right approach.
“if i dont get enough sleep i eat like crazy”
Same here. Lack of sleep increases cravings and appetite for many people. Prioritize rest when you can—your appetite and energy will thank you.
“how do i get big muscles”
I’m not a bodybuilding expert, but building muscle generally requires consistent resistance training, progressive overload, adequate protein intake, and proper recovery. If you want a specific plan, consult a trainer or coach for personalized guidance.
“restaurant students girls eating”
If you mean where students often choose to eat, Chipotle is a reliable favorite. Always seems to be the go-to.
“explain which of the two fruits, banana or avocado, would be better to eat just before running a race”
For a pre-race snack, a banana is usually the better choice. It provides quick, easily digestible carbs and potassium. Avocado is nutrient-dense but higher in fat, which can feel heavy before a race.
“vegan beans and olives”
Not my favorite combination, personally.
“best roasted cauliflower of your life”
If you want fantastic roasted cauliflower, try a straightforward recipe: toss florets with olive oil, salt, pepper, and a touch of paprika or garlic, then roast until caramelized and tender. It can be life-changing.
“Chipotle for pre run meal”
I adore Chipotle, but a full Chipotle meal right before a run may be too heavy. If you eat there pre-run, choose simple, lower-fat options and allow enough time to digest.
“sweet potato monster cookies”
People really like adding vegetables to desserts—sweet potato in cookies is an idea some bakers use for moisture and nutrition. I’m more of a purist when it comes to monster cookies, but if you enjoy experimenting, give it a try.
“addiction counselor job in nakuru”
I can’t help locate jobs in Kenya or elsewhere, but searching local job boards, hospital systems, and international organizations that operate in the region is a good starting point.
“How to run fast with low iron”
Low iron makes running harder for many people. Addressing iron deficiency through diet and medical advice is important—iron supplementation and treating the underlying cause can improve performance, but consult a healthcare provider for testing and a safe plan.
I hope these answers gave you a smile. Have a great week—whether you’re running, cooking, or just browsing the web.
